Karin Bash
http://karinbash.podOmatic.com
Karin Bash is a Los Angeles-based DJ who understands the importance of musical variety and how to work a crowd. For over 6 years, she has shared her eclectic sounds with audiences worldwide. Sexy deep house, thumping tech house, driving techno – all key ingredients that she uses to stir into her mixes. She loves house music and rocking a dancefloor. Raised in a family of professional musicians, she has an innate understanding of music, which allows her to pull off such diversity in her sets. To best exemplify how people feel about her music, here's a quote direct from the dance floor: “You can always tell when Karin is on, cuz the whole place is grooving.” Throw in her exuberant stage presence and megawatt smile, and anyone who loves to dance will agree, Karin Bash is a natural who is here to stay. She has been playing lately for Incognito and Joseph’s. Karin has played worldwide at venues in Spain, Montreal, Miami, San Francisco and locally in Los Angeles at Avalon/Honey, Circus Disco, The Standard Downtown, LIbertine and King King.

Shannon Dayhota Ialongo
“…Funk Queen Dayhota (a.k.a. Shannon Ialongo), who energetically works the crowd as she spins, looking as if she’d rather be on the dance floor than stuck in the dj booth.-david prince(spin magazine)
David Prince of Spin Magazine gives Shannon Ialongo the title of “Funk Queen”, but the world of house music knows her as the infectious DJ Dayhota. Her trademark cutting-edge style combined with her high-energy filled DJ sets put DJ Dayhota into the upper echelon of the underground industry.
Spring 2006 marked the release of DJ Dayhota's first mixed CD Catch Me on RE-INVENT MUSIC followed by Stomp This on STOMPY.COM. Catch Me is an aural journey of unique tracks and top-shelf mixing. In the summer of 2005 Dayhota collaborated with fellow SuperJaner Lady D to work on a remix for Showtime's critically acclaimed series The "L" Word. Tommy Boy Records picked up the remix and released it on a L Word CD compilation.
A Chicago veteran of house-music, Dayhota has entertained at clubs worldwide: Centro-Fly and The Limelight in NYC, Motor in Detroit, Rain and Ice in Las Vegas, Sno-Drift and Ruby Sky in San Francisco and Level and Nikki Beach in South Beach (Miami). Her sound has graced the international speakers at top-flight venues like The Guvernment and The Docks in Toronto, Batofar in Paris, Zapata and The Lab in Germany, Macarena in Barcelona, Seven in Melbourne and The Underground Café in Sydney to name a few. In an industry dominated by male influence, Dayhota and fellow DJs Heather, Colette, and Lady D paved the way for future female DJs, shaping DJ culture by forming the all female DJ collective SuperJane. In 2000 SuperJane went on its first national tour and in 2002 its first international tour.
In 2002 Mixer Magazine nominated DJ Dayhota as one of the Top 100 DJs, while URB Magazine nominated her in 2004. Not only is DJ Dayhota a feature talent of the underground world, but she rapidly gains mainstream recognition with featured stories on the pages of Billboard, XLR8R, Spin, Jane, Nylon, and Velocity. With her energy, unique style and undisputable talent she is becoming the conduit between the underground world of house and mainstream America.
What’s in store for miss DJ Dayhota? Keep your eyes peeled for this media darling as she takes off this year with an infused new sound and talented roster of peers. This DJ is the kind that groups ambition with talent and she will continue to make her mark. Look out for DJ Dayhota!!

divaDanielle
www.djdivadanielle.com
divaDanielle rocks the dance floor from Los Angeles to New York with her funky style of House and Electro! Branded The Diva in college because of her sassy look and attitude, her DJ performances are filled with infectious energy and bootie-shakin' grooves. Currently, divaD throws the popular outdoor party, Shade - a day party, with Porter Tinsley and Faith D'Marco.
Her life as a DJ began one fateful evening in 2002 when she caught a record thrown into the crowd by Darren Emerson (of Underworld fame). She took it as a sign that her love for music was ready to move off the dance floor to behind the decks. She created Girls Spun Wild (GSW) shortly there after with a group of girls eager to spin and in 2007, GSW was featured in The LA Times as part of their feature on the rise of female DJs in LA.
Not only has Diva been part of countless underground parties but has also played with the likes of Kazell, Jason Bentley, King Britt, Charles Feelgood and most recently Andy Caldwell for whom she also directed the music video for his newest release, "It's Guud." Her DJ mixes have been featured on Spineshaker.com, InSoulWeTrust.com and SSRadio UK. Gigs have included Circus, Zanzibar, Moonshadows, King King, The Standard, The Viper Room, LA Decom, NYC Decom and of course, home sweet home, Burning Man.

Meegs
www.myspace.com/djmeegs
Growing up on the east coast (Washington DC), and now enjoying the west coast (Los Angeles, CA), Meghan aka "dj meegs", can be found hosting, promoting and/or dj'n parties all over southern California. Growing up in a large, Irish & very musical household, where her parents offered their home to host weekly music lessons, Meegs picked up her first instrument at the age of 6 (tin whistle). She learned to play the bodhran (irish drum) from Jesse Winch, of Celtic Thunder touted as the world’s premeire bodhran player. She was enrolled in the O’Neil James School of Irish Dance at the age of four, competed nationally through high-school, and after a break during college, later reconnected with her dance school to student-teach when Riverdance became a national phenomenon. She contributes her love, understanding and passion for music to her parent’s zeal for traditional Irish music. Meegs was first introduced to electronic music in the early 90’s when she attended her first “rave” at the Capital Ballroom in Washington DC. “Back then the staples were Scott Henry, Bad Boy Bill, Doc Martin, and Charles (gonna make you) Feelgood", who she touts as her "first" favorite dj. After moving to LA and meeting some local dj’s, she was invited to play percussion (congas, djembe) at various underground parties around Los Angeles. This spawned her career as a local promoter first, which led to dj'n and eventually hosting her own weekly parties ‘SPIN’ and ‘XPRESSION’ in LA. “My mentor of sorts for throwing parties is Marques Wyatt. When I first moved to LA, my friends brought me to his party 'DEEP' on Sunday and I still go every chance possible. It is consistent, it is soulful, always deep & the only "church" I know open til 4am". Keeping with her roots and traditional musicianship, Meegs is known for incorporating live music and dancing with her sets. Her organic, soulful sound invites live instrumentation where you can hear her preference for funk, reggae & celtic beats fused with soul driven lyrics with emotional content. “My goal is to continue growing the HOUSE music community here in LA, collaborate with other musicians, and attempt to make the Irish jig cool!" Meegs currently holds various residencies in Los Angeles, attends SAE Institute in Hollywood for music production, and is planning her record-release party in Miami for the Winter Music Conference in March 2008.
